Amalgamation, Merging of Mewar Aanchalik Gramin Bank and Marudhara Gramin Bank
Here it is surely a good news for all banking aspirants who are looking for their career in RRBs of Rajasthan. Yes putting a full stop on all the rumors since last one year about the amalgamation of of two RRBs of Rajasthan, It has been now finalized the merging of Mewar Aanchalik Gramin Bank (MAGB) and Marudhara Gramin Bank (MGB).
Staying forwarded on the track of “one state one RRB” Finance ministry of India has now finalized the above said amalgamation and expected date for the releases of official notification for the same is 1st or 2nd of April 2014. And the new name proposed for newly formed entity is “Rajasthan Marudhara Gramin Bank” (RMGB). Before this process Mewar Aanchalik Gramin bank (MAGB), the only RRB in country which was being sponsored by a private sector bank ICICI Bank, was having its head office in Udaipur while SBBJ sponsored Marudhara Gramin Bank (MGB) was being operated from Jodhpur. MGB has been working in 12 district of Rajasthan with 489 branches and 2 extensions covering complete desert area of state while MAGB has total 60 branches with a good recognition in whole rural area of Udaipur district and partially in Pratapgarh and Rajsamand district. After Amalgamation total branches of newly formed Rajasthan Marudhara Gramin bank (RMGB) will be approx 550 and will be sponsored by SBBJ. Both the RRBs have a good business in their respective service area and also it is expected to boost the business growth after this process. Also after the amalgamation process good vacancies are expected in RMGB for both clerical and officer cadre.
